About Us

Hollinger Technical Publications has been writing technical manuals for commercial and naval applications for over 35 years. We are a veteran-owned, subchapter S corporation, owned and operated by Schawn Dobson, a U.S. Navy submarine veteran (USS Bremerton SSN-698). The business began operations in November of 1982 as a sole propietorship under direction of the Hollinger family and incorporated in May of 1997. Mr. Dobson joined the company as a technical writer in March 1998 after serving 9 years of submarine force active duty. Mr. Dobson purchased the company from Hollinger in 2013 and has been the sole owner and operator since.
